It is the intent of our Blog to (gradually, overtime) add helpful, informative posts / articles on a wide range of family friendly topics, some in English, some in French, and perhaps some in other languages. (These include a number of home internet blog posts on our home internet site.) For those curious to know a little more about Jesus, there is such an article below.

The Good News of Jesus Christ

In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth. He is eternal, all‑powerful, perfectly holy, and full of love. He spoke the universe into existence, formed mankind in His own image, and placed the first man and woman, Adam and Eve, in the Garden of Eden. There, they enjoyed perfect fellowship with Him, walking in His presence without shame or fear. God gave them everything they needed for life and joy, with only one command: not to eat from the tree of the knowledge of good and evil.

But the serpent, Satan, deceived Eve, and Adam willfully disobeyed God’s command. In that moment, sin entered the world. The perfect relationship between God and humanity was broken. Shame, guilt, suffering, and death became part of the human story. The holiness of God cannot overlook sin, and His justice demands that sin be punished. Yet even in the midst of judgment, God promised a Redeemer — the seed of the woman who would crush the serpent’s head.

From that day forward, the human race has been marked by sin. We have all turned away from God’s ways, choosing our own path. The Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23). No amount of good works, religion, or moral effort can erase the stain of sin or bridge the gap between us and a holy God. The penalty for sin is death — not just physical death, but eternal separation from God in hell.

But God, in His mercy and love, had a plan from before the foundation of the world. He would send His own Son, Jesus Christ, to rescue us. Jesus is the eternal Word of God, who took on human flesh, being born of the virgin Mary. Fully God and fully man, He lived the perfect, sinless life we could never live. He healed the sick, gave sight to the blind, raised the dead, and preached the good news of the Kingdom of God. He revealed the Father’s heart — a heart of compassion, truth, and holiness.

Yet Jesus did not come merely to be a teacher or miracle worker. He came to lay down His life as a ransom for many. On the cross, Jesus bore the full weight of our sin. The wrath of God that we deserved was poured out on Him. As Isaiah prophesied centuries earlier: “He was pierced for our transgressions, He was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was on Him, and by His wounds we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5).

As He hung on the cross, Jesus cried out, “It is finished!” The debt was paid in full. He died, and His body was laid in a tomb. But death could not hold Him. On the third day, He rose from the dead, just as He had promised. His resurrection is the ultimate proof that He is the Son of God, that His sacrifice was accepted, and that He has conquered sin and death forever.

After His resurrection, Jesus appeared to many witnesses over forty days, teaching them and commissioning them to go into all the world and proclaim the gospel. He then ascended into heaven, where He sits at the right hand of the Father, interceding for His people. One day, He will return in glory to judge the living and the dead, and to make all things new.

This is the good news: that God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16). Salvation is a gift — it cannot be earned, only received by grace through faith. To be saved, you must repent — turn away from your sin — and trust in Jesus Christ alone as your Lord and Savior. When you do, God forgives your sins, credits you with the righteousness of Christ, and gives you the gift of the Holy Spirit, who will dwell in you and transform you from the inside out.

Following Jesus is not a guarantee of an easy life. In fact, He said His followers would face trials and persecution. But He also promised, “I am with you always, to the very end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). In Him, we find peace that the world cannot give, joy that circumstances cannot take away, and hope that endures beyond the grave.

Perhaps you came here expecting something else — maybe even something empty or harmful. But God, in His providence, has brought you to this message today. He is calling you to Himself. The pleasures of sin are fleeting, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord. Do not harden your heart. Today is the day of salvation.

If you are ready to turn to Christ, you can pray to Him right now. There is no magic formula — what matters is the sincerity of your heart. You might pray something like this: “Lord Jesus, I confess that I am a sinner and cannot save myself. I believe You died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust in You alone as my Savior and Lord. Please forgive me, change me, and help me to follow You all the days of my life. Amen.”

If you have prayed this in faith, tell someone who follows Jesus. Begin reading the Bible, starting with the Gospel of John. Find a local church that teaches God’s Word faithfully, and be baptized as a public declaration of your faith. Grow in prayer, fellowship, and obedience to Christ.

Life is short, eternity is long, and your soul is priceless. Jesus asked, “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” (Mark 8:36). Don’t gamble with your eternity. Trust in the One who gave His life for you and rose again. He is worthy of your trust, your worship, and your all.

May the grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit be with you now and forevermore. Even the person who so wronged our compoany, and knows who they are and what they did, as does God.
